As i am searching online and reading all the dog foods, i laughed when i came across those "veterinary rx perscription dogs foods" http://www.petfooddirect.com/Product/8721/Hills-Prescription-Diet-d/d-Potato-And-Venison-Formula-Canine-Dry-Food
I am an avid reader of ingredients in dog food and learned all about what should and should not be in the foods. One of them is Ethoxyquin. Out of curiosity i read the ingredients in this Premium perscription dog food and the chemical is in this dog food. Figures
I also realized one of my favorite past companies- EVO and Innova dog food that I used, I no longer use because Procter and Gamble purchased this high end company and I am sure will source out cheaper ingredients now.
My word of advice- read your dog and cat food ingredients. If you must feed them the inexpensive dog food, purchase a wholesome gravy or pet food topper or supplements to add and give them the nutrients they deserve!
